All of Philica’s standard services are completely free, provided as a service to the academic community (and, indeed, to the public). However, it costs us real money to run Philica — website hosting, programming, admin etc. — and so we are really grateful if people make donations, however small.

We use the well-known and trustworthy PayPal service to accept payments — Click on the button below and you can choose how much to give and how you want to pay: almost all forms of payment are accepted and you will be brought back to this site afterwards.

Registered users will get a donation icon next to their name (e.g., ) to show everyone that they have supported the free exchange of academic information — don’t forget to give us your username when making your donation. Other donors will be credited by name on our Hall of Fame.
