It is calculus that demonstrates that each higher dimension is the integral of all the dimensions lying below. Consequently, our 4th dimension of Time must be the integral of all possible material configurations of the 3 lower orthogonal dimensions. This compels one to speculate on the physics underlying how the 4th dimension is encoded.
One way that Time could be encoded is by utilizing a holographic structure, a structure that is likely what we recognize as the quantum foam, the integral of which comprises what we recognize as all of spacetime. As new and changing information impinges upon this quantum hologram, it would differentiate, causing all possible iterations of the three physical dimensions to eventually emerge.
This new and changing information would likely be coming from the steady motion of the stars and black holes, those intense points scattered throughout the universe that are piercing tiny holes through the quantum foam. It is like trillions of moving lasers pointing through a photographic hologram to display a 3-dimensional action movie.
This mechanism of Time would likely be projecting our dynamic material world by utilizing the physics of electromagnetism, with these dynamic holes through the quantum foam of space-time controlling the behaviors of that electromagnetism.
As new information shines through the holographic quantum foam, the changing electromagnetic processes of Time are emerging from out of all singularities, displaying our world, and then continuously returning back into the quantum foam, looping in and out of what we regard as the present. A good example of this is observed in the electromagnetic display of the sun.
